About me

Hi, thank you for stopping by – I hope you are having a wonderful day so far!
My name is Claudia and I am a physicist with a passion for applied meteorology. I love putting weather data, analyses, and forecasts to practical use, especially when they deal with weather and climate extremes.
My work mainly focuses on heatwaves – their trends to date, their prediction into the future and their impacts on human health. I leverage this work to design and implement innovative tools that can timely support disaster risk management in areas hit by hazardous temperatures.
